THE OLD VICARAGE, SOUTHWELL, NOTTINGHAM WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER
ELLIE AND JAKE
Ellie and Jake’s wedding at The Old Vicarage in Southwell was exactly the kind of wedding I love filming. With around 20 of their closest family and friends there, the whole day felt incredibly relaxed, personal and full of genuine moments. Smaller weddings always have such a special atmosphere. Everyone knows each other, there’s no rushing around trying to speak to hundreds of guests, and couples actually get to spend quality time with the people who matter most.
The Old Vicarage is also one of my favourite local wedding venues to work at. As a Nottingham wedding videographer, it’s always great filming weddings close to home, especially at a venue as beautiful as this. The gardens are stunning, the ceremony room is full of character, and the whole place has a calm, intimate feel that works perfectly for natural wedding videography.
Ellie and Jake weren’t looking for a huge, extravagant celebration. They wanted a relaxed day surrounded by their closest family and friends, and that’s exactly what they created. With no pressure and no need to rush from one thing to the next, the day was filled with laughter, conversations and plenty of time to simply enjoy being together.
One of my favourite things about intimate weddings is being able to capture those smaller, more personal moments that can sometimes get lost on a bigger wedding day. The little conversations, the reactions from family and friends and all the natural moments in between are what make wedding films so special.
A huge thank you to Ellie and Jake for asking me to capture their wedding day. It was an absolute pleasure to be part of such a lovely celebration at The Old Vicarage Southwell, and I wish them both all the happiness for the future.
