Jenny and Mark’s wedding at Aynhoe Park is one I’ll always remember. It had been on my list of venues to film at since I first started out, so finally getting the chance to shoot there was a big one for me. It’s a proper well-known spot too, used for all sorts of high-profile events and you can see why as soon as you walk in.

The place is hard to describe if you’ve never been. It’s like a stately home mixed with a mad museum, taxidermy everywhere, massive statues, and even a giraffe hanging from balloons.

The morning was chilled, both of them getting ready on-site and the lads ended up in the hot tub before things got going. Then out of nowhere there’s a bloke walking around who looks exactly like Gordon Ramsay, turned out to be an impersonator, but I had to do a double take.

Once the day got going, it properly kicked off. The Distractions were playing during the meal, moving around the room while people were up dancing between courses. It had that mix of classy and people down to party. By the evening it was chaos in the best way.

It was back in December 2019 as well, right before all the COVID-19 stuff hit, which makes it stand out even more looking back. Really good day, unreal venue, and one I won’t forget anytime soon.
