VICTORIA AND LIAM

Victoria and Liam were married on a glorious sunny day in June at Hazel Gap Barn. Hazel Gap is one of those venues that always delivers an incredible backdrop for a wedding film. Set on the edge of the estate near Sherwood Forest, the barn mixes rustic character with a big open courtyard. The venue really comes alive in the summer. Victoria spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids at The Great Hall, Edwinstowe Hall. When I arrived it was great to see a familiar face among them, I’d actually filmed one of her bridesmaid’s weddings before.

Victoria arrived in style with her dad in a beautiful classic convertible MG. As they pulled up to Hazel Gap Bar, the June sunshine was in full force. Later in the day the couple’s dog made a special appearance for some photos and video. Dogs are weddings are always a massive highlight for me. As the evening rolled in we were treated to some incredible summer light and a proper golden hour. Victoria and Liam absolutely understood the assignment when it came to making the most of it. The shoot with them was effortless and easily one of my favourites of the year.

It’s always a pleasure working at Hazel Gap Barn too, a venue that started to feel like a second home after so many visits last year. The celebrations finished in the best possible way: a packed dancefloor, loads of energy, and at least one guest fully committing to the worm.
